Orthodox spirituality refers to the every day life and activity of each pious Orthodox Christian. The objective of Orthodox spirituality is to attain theosis (glorification), the state in which one spiritually experiences God's uncreated grace, light, powers and energies. Theosis is reached when the soul is cured of all spiritual sicknesses. The first step in this process of spiritual therapy is attaining an Orthodox phronema (mindset). This phronema consists of orthodoxia (correct faith) and orthopraxia (correct works). The following articles are mainly concerned with different aspects of orthopraxia. |
